Does anyone have a good resource for patients preparing for their first infusion appointment?

    Hi there,
Usually if you go to the site sponsoring the medication, they will offer you guidelines for patients prior to their first infusion. Some websites offer videos for patient’s to watch regarding an infusion. This may be useful to you in preparing your patients for their first infusion.

As an example, click this link or copy and paste: https://www.orencia.bmscustomerconnect.com/how-to-take-orencia/iv-infusion-treatment.

    Thanks

    Hi, Emmyprid.

As Donna mentioned, you could go to the medication’s landing page. Additionally, NICA has prepared a slide deck for first-time infusion patients. You can access it on the “Education” tab, or here: https://infusioncenter.org/how-to-prepare-for-your-infusion/. Hope this helps.
