WE DID IT! This ill-received proposal was officially withdrawn on December 15, 2016.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here! The Obama administration announced the formal withdrawal of the Medicare Part B Demonstration on Thursday, December 15.

Since the initial, ill-received announcement of this proposal in March of this year, NICA has advocated fervently for its withdrawal. Within days of the proposal’s release, we launched our first ever online, grassroots campaign. The response was overwhelming. As a result of those advocacy efforts on behalf of stakeholders across the nation, NICA was able to secure a meeting with key members of CMS leadership to discuss the demonstration and its potentially catastrophic effects on infusion providers and patients.

The withdrawal of this proposal is a significant and hard-fought victory for infusion patients and indicates a marked shift in advocacy on behalf of this rapidly growing delivery channel.

Your overwhelming support has made this possible. Thank you all for taking a stand alongside NICA in opposing this serious threat to patient access.
