Dear Colleagues,
We may only be a couple of months into 2021, but it is already shaping up to be a memorable and eventful year. The NICA team has been busy prepping for this year’s upcoming virtual annual meeting, compiling communication and education regarding COVID-19 monoclonal antibody therapeutics, and participating in ongoing advocacy efforts affecting the infusion industry.
In case you missed it: Registration for the 2021 Annual Meeting is OPEN!
Join us from the comfort of your home on Friday, June 25th and Saturday, June 26th for a premier virtual learning and networking opportunity for healthcare providers, practice managers, industry stakeholders, advocates, and others with stake in the provider-administered medication market. Attendees, partners, and sponsors can look forward to many exciting presentations and discussions centered around the provider-administered medication industry, networking opportunities, as well as enhanced meeting features specific to the virtual environment.
…And we are having a virtual platform demo THIS Friday! (3/5)
Curious about what NICA’s virtual platform can offer your organization as an exhibitor at the 2021 annual meeting? We have teamed up with our virtual event platform provider, NTT, to provide current and prospective exhibitors a live demonstration of the platform on Friday, March 5 at 11:30 am CST. Join us to explore the platform from an exhibitor and attendee perspective, experience the booth builder portal before beginning the build, explore placement of advertising opportunities, ask questions along the way, and more!
Last month, we shared a very special Infusion Center Spotlight:
We were honored to have MPP Infusion Centers® work with us to share the details of this very special Infusion Center Spotlight. As one of the first infusion centers in the country to successfully administer COVID-19 antibody therapies to patients in their centers, MPP gave us an in-depth look into what it took an ambulatory infusion center to transition into a pop-up model for administering these life-giving therapies. We are glad we could introduce MPP to NCTTRAC, an organization in Texas that helped them stand up their incredibly successful pop-up model.
Welcome, new Advisory Committee Members!
We have been spotlighting the talented and passionate members of our Advisory Committee across our social media channels this past month and are excited to continue to introduce some new faces who have recently joined the AdCom. So far, we’ve given a warm NICA welcome to Mike Cooper and Dr. Colin Edgerton from the American Rheumatology Network as well as Marissa Shackleton, Executive Director of the Elliot Lewis Center. Keep your eye on our social media for more intros!
We continued to build out our resource center for prescribing and administering COVID-19 antibody therapies.
With several COVID-19 antibody therapies receiving Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the FDA, we have been working closely with pharmaceutical manufacturers and governmental partners at The Operation to ensure you have the resources needed to safely and appropriately prescribe and administer these products. We developed these materials to help promote safe, efficient, and responsible use of COVID-19 therapies.
Thank you for following along in our adventures in advocating and breaking down barriers for the provider-administered medication market. We are excited to see what this next month holds.
Onward,
Thank you for your time,
Brian Nyquist, MPH
